Our Ministries

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."

- Colossians 3: 23-24

Our Ministries

There are several ways to serve at New Hebron. Because God has commissioned us all to serve, our goal is to establish an environment where God's children can exercise their gifts in the service of others.

Youth Ministry

At New Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, we believe that our children are not just the church of tomorrow; we believe that they are the church of today.

We invite them to become active members of our church by participating in our Youth Choir, Sunday School, Youth Usher Board and Vacation Bible School.

We also provide our young people Bible-based teaching, as well as opportunities to learn from adult members through our Audio/Video ministry and Brotherhood Ministry.

Choir Ministry

The primary function of New Hebron's choir ministry is to support other ministries of the church, by providing music during times of worship, accompanying the pastor when needed, and supporting families during homegoing services.

Members of the Music Ministry strive to use their God-given talents in a selfless manner to serve and praise God according to scripture - “We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.” (2 Corinthians 6:1)

Usher Ministry

Ushers are responsible for bringing comfort and compassion to all who enter the sanctuary of God. Their mission is to be of service to the church family when needed in order to further the Lord's message of loving one another even as Christ has loved us.

They accomplish this by:

  • Greeting people as they enter the service;

  • Ensuring that worship services are orderly, by determining when people enter and exit the sanctuary, directing people to seats, and providing guidance for worshippers during the offertory period;

  • Assisting worshippers, as needed, to be comfortable and to have the necessary tools during service, e.g. hymnals, church bulletins/programs, offering envelopes, and answering questions concerning service; and

  • Representing New Hebron Missionary Baptist Church when assisting the ushers at other local church services/programs and at association and convention functions when needed.
